GRESHAM HEADING TO NEXT LEVEL
HE was the horse who didn’t know how to win but Gresham is starting to turn himself into the complete package.
It was on show again at Rosehill Gardens yesterday.
The Chris Waller-trained threeyear-old placed in six of his first seven runs and punters had had enough of him, but they’re back on board after he made it three wins from his past four starts.
“He’s in a rich vein of form and he really dominated that race from start to finish and who knows where he could get to but it could be to a good level,” winning jockey Blake Shinn said.
That next level could be as soon as Saturday at Doomben in the Group 2 Queensland Guineas.
Yesterday, he had his own way out in front and was never going to lose, beating Chalmers by 2¼ lengths.
“He’s just learnt to attack the line,’’ Waller said. “He’s developed into a man and is a changed horse now.”
