The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - RACING - RAY THOMAS

WARWICK Farm trainer Greg Hickman is considering a Ramornie Handicap campaign for Top Striker.

“Top Striker has all the potential in the world but he can be his own worst enemy,’’ Hickman said at Rosehill Gardens yesterday.

“But today the sting out of the ground suited. It was the right race; good j ockey; good barrier; he dug deep. In the back of my mind I feel that he could make an ideal Ramornie horse at Grafton next month so we might head that way.’’

Top Striker ($7.50) gave champion jockey James McDonald a winning double — after he had scored on Radiant Choice — when he wore down early leader Nictock ($5.50) to win by a neck with Difficult To Get ($4.60 favourite) a halfhead away third.
