FESTIVAL CRACKDOWN IS LIKE A WALK IN THE PARK

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - NEWS -

DRUGS — and cops — were everywhere at yesterday’s Listen Out festival in Centennial Park.

Scores of uniformed and plain-clothes police, plus sniffer dogs, spent the day marching out anyone who smelt of drugs. And as the evening wore on, cops took to dirt bikes to chase suspects around the park, arresting this young man, among others.

“Oi bro, are you on?” one young fellow asked our reporter Jack Morphet through the clenched teeth typical of MDMA fans.

Inside there was another telltale sign of drugs: empty condoms littering toilet floors — having been extracted from where the sun don’t shine.
