Perrottet late with answers

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - NEWS -

NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet has failed to meet a parliamentary deadline, days after he created political chaos for the Premier and his Coalition colleagues.

In a week the father-of-five would rather forget, Mr Perrottet hasn’t submitted answers to questions he avoided at a budget estimates hearing earlier this month. According to the committee’s guidelines, the Treasury department had until 5pm Thursday to provide the information.

Shadow Treasurer Ryan Park said Mr Perrottet was too “consumed” with his challenge to take the seat of Castle Hill from fellow Liberal MP Ray Williams. “Rather than answer questions on the size of the Sydney light rail bailout package or how much compensation will be paid out for late WestConnex projects, the Treasurer was too busy trying to wrangle a seat closer to home because he doesn’t like the commute,” he said.

A spokesman for Mr Perrottet said the Treasurer’s office would submit its responses to questions on notice to the budget estimates committee on Tuesday.
