Editor makes her move

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - INSIDER -

SYDNEY’S magazine industry has been waiting with bated breath to see what departing Elle magazine editor- in- chief Justine Cullen will do next. Sunday Confidential can now reveal her expected move after she finishes at the Bauer title.

The respected mother- of- three — with another on the way — is understood to be in talks with David Jones’ title Jones and rumoured to be campaigning to take prized former employees with her.

“This moves makes absolute sense for Justine ( inset) given Gerry Reynolds — who runs Medium Rare ( publisher of Jones Magazine) used to be her publisher at Shop Til You Drop, then Elle,” one industry insider said.

Cullen announced she was leaving Bauer two weeks ago, a week before it was announced the print and digital teams of both Elle and Harper’s Bazaar would be merged making 13 roles redundant.
