The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - 2018 GRAND FINAL -

RUGBY league Immortal Wally Lewis has anointed Melbourne half Brodie Croft as a future Queensland No.7.

“The halfbacks for Queensland have always been different,’’ Lewis said. “He is certainly producing some form at the moment and has to produce consistent form to gain selection.”

If anyone is ready for the challenge, it is Croft. He had been chosen as the man to replace Cooper Cronk when he went to the Roosters, but success did not come quickly.

He moved in and out of first grade several times before cementing the No.7 jersey for Melbourne’s stunning finals run.
