Anna on track with Cup gig

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - CONFIDENTIAL -

ANNA Heinrich is used to wearing many hats but she has a new spring in her step after joining Channel 10’s Melbourne Cup Carnival broadcast team as fashion reporter.

“I have been attending Cup Week for almost 10 years now but this is the first time I will be working as a roving reporter,” Heinrich, who is married to former Bachelor star Tim Robards, said.

“I am really looking forward to that experience. Normally I am there with my sisters and I can let my hair down but this time I won’t be able to have too many champagnes.”

Heinrich said she hoped the role would lead to more opportunities at Ten. “I’d love to do some more presenting and something like this is a good transition,” she said.

Heinrich has managed to juggle two distinct careers since developing a celebrity profile through The Bachelor. She works as a solicitor in Sydney, is a brand ambassador and is also building a TV career through vehicles such as Trial By Kyle, The Real Dirty Dancing and now the Melbourne Cup fashion reporter role.

“I can’t believe I have been able to continue doing law,” she said. “I am in the office every week, just not every day. I am trying to keep my foot in the door and continue to practise while doing everything else. It is one big juggling act but it is all working. I am very lucky that I have an incredible boss and work for a great firm.

“I love the mix and variety that my life now is.”

Heinrich will be part of Ten’s Melbourne Cup Carnival team which also includes Matt White, Roz Kelly and Francesca Cumani.
