BYE TO SAFETY

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - OPINION -

So, the lockout laws have now been cancelled (“City lockout laws lifted but Cross still no-go zone”, 8/9).

OK, so now when the next coward punch or drunken violent brawl occurs in the city and its outskirts, we can all thank the NSW government for that happening again. The lockout laws were put in place to keep us all safe, but because the government wants to see the drinking businesses make more money rather than care about public safety, they are allowing the violence to resume again, thus putting us all in danger.

How ridiculously disgusting our government has become now, when the most important matter to them is how many drinks people can drink in one night than how many people can be kept safe going out each night for fun but ending up in hospital, or worse, dead.
