It’s the biggest growing fiction genre over the past 15 years.
Last year it held 10.3 per cent of the fiction genres marketet — its highest on record.
It’s the fourth biggest genre after crime/thriller, sci-fi/ fantasy and romance. The Th best-sellers here are ar Brits Philippa Gregory, Conn Iggulden and Bernard Cornwell.
Aussie writers HaHannah Kent (insinset) and Kate GrenvilleGrenvi are fourth and fifth on the list.
