NOVEM­BER 2016 Paul Lam­bert broke into Dr An­gela Jay’s home in Port Mac­quarie, stabbed her 11 times and doused her in petrol. The pair met on Tin­der but Dr Jay had to take an AVO out against Lam­bert (below) be­cause of his ag­gres­sive and con­trol­ling be­hav­iour. b At the time t they met, Dr Jay was un­aware that Lam­bert had been sub­ject to 10 re­strain­ing or­ders from five dif­fer­ent women. Lam­bert was shot dead by po­lice after his at­tack on Dr Jay. SEPTEM­BER 2019 Tahir Haider, 45, was charged for al­legedly sex­u­ally as­sault­ing a woman he met through Tin­der. He al­legedly turned up at the woman’s house un­in­vited after she tried to end the short re­la­tion­ship. He is due in court next month. OC­TO­BER 2017 A woman re­ported to po­lice that she was a vic­tim of sexual in­ter­course without con­sent. She and the man met at a bar in Surry Hills via dat­ing app Bum­ble and the man later of­fered to drive the woman home, where she al­leged he had sex with her without con­sent.
