Flights grounded

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - NEWS -

DOZENS of flights between Australia and Japan have been cancelled as residents brace for one of the most severe typhoons to hit in decades.

Typhoon Hagibis was forecast to make landfall near Tokyo late last night, prompting severe warnings and the cancellation of Rugby World Cup matches. Airlines grounded most flights at Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya airports, including two from Sydney scheduled today.
