Plains sim­ple for de­part­ing Pan­ther McKendry

THE re­tir­ing Pen­rith Pan­ther prop Sam McKendry and his wife, Kirsten, have listed their Emu Plains in­vest­ment prop­erty (right).

McKendry (in­set), who is quit­ting af­ter three ACL re­con­struc­tions in as many years, bought the spa­cious 1970s home for $525,000 in 2014. There is a guide of $659,000 to $709,000 af­ter the re­cent up­date of the three­bed­room home which was last ad­ver­tised for rent at $480 a week.

Brad Drew at Prop­erty Cen­tral Pen­rith has sched­uled a Novem­ber 2 auc­tion. The sub­urb has a $650,000 me­dian for three bed­room homes, ac­cord­ing to, based on 30 sales in the past year. The pair, who mar­ried in 2015, re­side on acreage at Wal­la­cia with their two chil­dren. Signed to Pen­rith in 2006, he made his first grade de­but at 18 in 2008.

Fel­low in­jured team­mate, Isaah Yeo, stepped onto the prop­erty lad­der mid-sea­son pay­ing $910,000 for a two-bed­room Cre­morne unit.

This time last year, Nathan Cleary bought a home just 5km from Pen­rith Sta­dium. The 21-year-old half back paid $1.05 mil­lion for an updated 1970s home.
