Each day the bar crew crack open cans of pre-batched cock­tails in all our favourite blends: Cos­mopoli­tans, Man­hat­tans and Ne­gro­nis. Bar staff are also skilled in the gilda, a Span­ish tapa whereby a huge green olive is skew­ered with an oily an­chovy (Or­tiz, nat­u­rally) and a tangy slice of lemon. Out­side the ex­ten­sive of­fer­ing of canned fish, char­cu­terie and im­pres­sive cheeses, the bistro turns out light, re­fresh­ing fare, with dishes like fen­nel with grilled run­ner beans, peanut pesto and chilli vinai­grette, and per­fectly charred oc­to­pus served with a smat­ter­ing of bread­crumbs.
