THE third annual TAB Everest Ladies Breakfast was as expected, packed with female guests. Taking over the Ivy Sunroom for the Monday morning event, organisers made sure guests were well fed and hydrated with plenty of coffee, French pastries and Moet champagne.

The event kicked off a week of anticipation leading up to The Everest race day at Royal Randwick that was held yesterday. “We start the week with style,” said one guest.

A pregnant Jesinta Franklin was among those enjoying the hospitality, as was Vogue editor-in-chief Edwina McCann, sports presenter Julie Snook and ATC director Julia Ritchie. Everyone walked away with a goodie bag that included beauty products and the essential hair accessory for race day, a Heather McDowell hair clip. JONATHON MORAN
