Tensions boil over
TENSIONS over Lebanon are being felt in Sydney with a peaceful Thursday prayer service descending into chaos.
Police were called to break up a clash between protesters outside the Our Lady of Lebanon Cathedral in Harris Park.
The church was hosting a prayer service for peace. According to a church statement, former Lebanese minister Dr Pierre Raffoul was leaving the mass with supporters of the Free Patriotic Movement when they clashed with protesters outside. Police were called to separate the groups.
