LUCAS DEBUNKS LIAM ROMANCE RUMOURS

The Sunday Telegraph (Sydney) - - INSIDER -

Australian actor Isabel Lucas has ruled out a relationship with Liam Hemsworth, with the former Home And Away star stating they are simply friends. Byron Bay-based Lucas, who was in Sydney this week with socially and environmentally conscious brand Outland Denim, weighed in on speculation by gossip magazines she is dating the youngest Hemsworth brother.

Lucas, who dated Liam’s big brother

Chris Hemsworth back in the day, laughed at reports the Hunger Games star was getting revenge on his estranged wife Miley Cyrus by hooking up with her and said it came as no surprise that the trash mags had linked them together.

“Yeah, reading that was fun,” she told Sunday Confidential sarcastically.

“I think that’s just how the mags work. They just run with a pic and write any story.

“Obviously we are just good friends,” Lucas added. “The Hemsworths are a beautiful family. It is a strong community in Byron and I am so grateful to have so many beautiful friends there.”

Despite having starred in Hollywood blockbusters including Transformer: Revenge Of The Fallen, Lucas remains one of this country’s most down-to-earth acting exports. “The work is the work,” she said.

“Artists don’t sign up to this to become famous. It can become a by-product. An artist’s job is to create and tell stories, that’s what I thrive on and love, the creative process and immersive character er work and using empathy for my craft. t.

I just love it, it is really fun.”

Lucas’s passion for her craft is just as unwavering as her dedication to protecting and planet and the environment.

“I get it from my dad,” she said. “We grew up in some really stunning places in

Australia. We lived in Kakadu

National Park and in Switzerland d so I’ve always had a deep connection with nature since I was very young.

“So what you are close to and what you love you want to protect. It has always been my passion.”

It is for this reason she has signed on as the face of Outland Denim’s Alchemy line.

“I have been so inspired by their work,” she said. “They are being part of the solution on many levels. Their success is founded upon the fact they have done the hard yards and it is paying off.

“The concept is really beautiful.

“Taking women and men who have been in the sex-trafficking industry and who are totally underprivileged and working with them to give them fair-wage work and create beautiful clothing.

“It is a really beautiful system and they produce really stylish clothes.”
