A lot of peo­ple as­so­ci­ate car­dio with weight loss, but ac­tu­ally hit­ting the weights has a huge im­pact, too. Some stud­ies have shown that strength train­ing re­sults in an el­e­vated me­tab­o­lism for up to 38 hours after a work­out.
