The spring rac­ing car­ni­val is upon us, and the Ro­tary Club of Tatura is once again get­ting into the swing of things by host­ing its an­nual hat night.

‘‘Lift­ing the Lid on Men­tal Ill­ness’’ will be held on Satur­day, No­vem­ber 3, at the Tatura Ital­ian Club.

The Ro­tary Club of Tatura in­com­ing pres­i­dent Bill Pur­cell said the night would be full of en­ter­tain­ment with a rac­ing theme.

‘‘Those that at­tended last year were not dis­ap­pointed and $800 was raised for men­tal health,’’ Mr Pur­cell said.

He wanted to re­mind pa­trons to book their ta­ble in ad­vance and come along wear­ing their finest (fun­ni­est) hats.

‘‘Funds raised dur­ing the evening go to­wards Aus­tralian Ro­tary health,’’ Mr Pur­cell said.

Cost is $25 a head, in­clud­ing a two-course meal.
