‘Re­lax­ing day out’ for guild

The Tre­foil Guild took a day for them­selves this month at­tend­ing a day cruise on the MV Mary-Ann at the Port of Echuca.

Tre­foil Guild is the adult sec­tion of guid­ing that links mem­bers and for­mer mem­bers of the Scout As­so­ci­a­tion with women who have not been guides, but are pre­pared to make the Guide Prom­ise.

The MV Mary-Ann owned by the Moama RSL Club of­fered the group a ‘‘re­lax­ing day out’’ mem­ber Phyll Bram­ley said.

‘‘We took friends in wheel chairs be­cause it had dis­abil­ity ac­cess and we all just re­ally en­joyed the day.’’

More than 20 mem­bers and friends at­tended the cruise, trav­el­ling to­gether from Tatura.

Since 2012, the group has fi­nan­cially sup­ported girls to at­tend camps in Con­necti­cut in the United States, York­shire and Lon­don in the United King­dom, Switzer­land, Canada, Sin­ga­pore and New Zealand.

Good time: More than 20 peo­ple at­tended the cruise ear­lier this month.
