The sta­ble­ford event spon­sored by Mitre 10 was played in per­fect sunny con­di­tions, mak­ing for some good scores. Janette Hay­ward won A-grade with 37 points, closely fol­lowed by Sue Turn­bull with 36 points. B-grade win­ner was Phyl Fid­des who had the best score of the day with 40 points. Kerry Gross, who has only re­cently taken up golf, had a lovely score of 36 points to be run­ner-up in B-grade.

Ball win­ners: Judy Baker, Terri Wange­man, Larysa Philling­ham 35, Robyn Downs and Roy­lyn Har­ris 34 points.

Near­est-the-pins: Gallery Cafe´ third: Heather Long; Tatura Hot Bread sixth: Di Day; Cafe´ Alofa ninth: Terri Wange­man; One4One Cafe´ 14th: Lyn Flett.

En­cour­age­ment Award: Fairchild.

Nine-Hole com­pe­ti­tion: The ever re­li­able Joyce Tavener was the win­ner with 18 points.

Pen­nant: The team trav­elled to Mooroopna and played Numurkah, where they were hop­ing for a win to re­main on top of the lad­der.

Vet­er­ans fi­nal: The fi­nal will be played on Fri­day be­tween Joan Hill and Liz Mulc­ahy and an ex­cel­lent game is an­tic­i­pated.

Women mem­bers are en­cour­aged to come out to watch the game, and then to en­joy the re­fresh­ments back at the club­house.

Wednes­day’s event: Mul­ti­plier Sta­ble­ford (two play­ers) nine-hole event fol­lowed by the AGMat 1 pm.
