Merrigum golf:

The Tatura Guardian - - Sport -

Merrigum golfers contested a par event on Saturday on an absolute cracker of a day for golf, sunny and calm but not too hot.

Barry Webber made the most of the conditions to win with a score of +2, one better than his closest rival.

Bazza has been playing some good golf recently, notching wins in twilight and Saturday competitions.

For the rest of us who think we’ve had a half-decent round and then ask Bazza how he went, if the response is ‘‘I played ok’’, then that is about as deflating as it gets because you know Bazza has done you hands down.

Clint Prygoda was the runnerup with +1, the only other player to finish on the positive side of the ledger.

The other ball competition winner was John Fuller who finished square.

Nearest-the-pin winners were Simon Doherty on the sixth, John Fuller on the jackpot 12th and Clint Prygoda on the 14th.

Ash Sanders had the week off last week and made the most of it by winning the twilight competition with a great round
