En­joy all coun­try rac­ing has to of­fer at the ‘Vara­po­dio Fam­ily’ Ital­ian Plate Day in the heart­land of Vic­to­ria’s thor­ough­bred coun­try in an in­ti­mate set­ting, with sweep­ing views of the race­track.

Get up close and per­sonal with jock­eys and train­ers from all over the state, while en­joy­ing all of the rac­ing ac­tion, kids ac­tiv­i­ties and live mu­sic, all in the ‘jewel of the crown’ Tatura this week­end.

Tatura and Shep­par­ton Race Club gen­eral man­ager Jon Dight said the pop­u­lar meet­ing at­tracted more then 2000 peo­ple last year.

‘‘This yearwe have put­more of an em­pha­sis on Christ­mas and have some de­cent book­ings from work par­ties and a lot of so­cials which will make for a good, fun, re­lax­ing day,’’ Mr Dight said.

The day will in­clude free kids ac­tiv­i­ties, Fash­ions on the Field and live en­ter­tain­ment.

‘‘Fash­ions on the Field is in­cred­i­bly pop­u­lar all over the state,’’ Mr Dight said.

The club is of­fer­ing a com­pli­men­tary shut­tle bus ser­vice on the day from Shep­par­ton, Mooroopna and Kyabram.

Mr Dight said there would be a va­ri­ety of dif­fer­ent pack­ages, in­clud­ing gen­eral ad­mis­sion on the day.

‘‘In­dulge your­self with an Um­brella Pack­age on the home straight for you and your friends or al­ter­na­tively ex­pe­ri­ence the lux­ury of your own pri­vate mar­quee and up­grade your pack­age to in­clude food and bev­er­ages,’’ he said.

‘‘We look for­ward to wel­com­ing you to Tatura.’’
