The Christ­mas spirit was in the air as the women golfers came dressed in their finest Chrissy garb, along with their dec­o­rated carts.

The best dec­o­rated cart was cho­sen be­fore play, with Josie De Ieso de­clared out­right win­ner.

The day was Cap­tain’s Choice, which saw Terri choos­ing a Par 3 event over 16 holes.

The ground staff co-op­er­ated well as they shifted the red­mark­ers down the fair­ways.

Play­ers en­joyed this nov­elty setup, which made it a fun day for every­one.

A tra­di­tional Christ­mas lunch, pre­pared by chef An­drew, was en­joyed by play­ers and re­tired play­ers fol­low­ing golf.

Com­mit­tee mem­bers and play­ers put a huge ef­fort into mak­ing the pre­sen­ta­tion day a suc­cess, pro­vid­ing ham­pers, and many ar­ti­cles for the multi raf­fle, set­ting the tables in the Christ­mas theme, in­clud­ing the tro­phy and raf­fle tables.

Santa and his elfin helper had fun giv­ing out the Kris Kringle gifts to all present.

The A-grade win­ner of the par 3 event was Di Day who scored 50.5 nett.

Run­ner-up was Joan Hill with 51 nett.

The B-grade win­ner was Lynda O’Shan­nessy who had an ex­cel­lent score of 46 nett.

Run­ner-up was Wilma Saun­ders with 46.5.

Ball win­ners: Barb Nation 47, Roy­lyn Har­ris 49, Heather Long 51.5, Gail Woot­ton 52, Judy Baker, Sue Turn­bull and Joyce Tavener 52.5.

Win­ter tro­phies: Cap­tain Terri and pres­i­dent Fran­cie an­nounced the win­ners of a suc­cess­ful win­ter sea­son of golf.

Liz Mulc­ahy played well in the win­ter sea­son and was re­warded with the Veterans Tro­phy, Star Medal­list, Silver Spoon com­pe­ti­tion and the Hill Top Brooch. She had won her first one about 20 years ago, and was thrilled to win this highly sought af­ter tro­phy again.

Colleen Johns won the A-grade Scratch and nett Eclec­tic events and the Birdie com­pe­ti­tion.

Robyn Downs took home the Glad Rob­bins sin­gles tro­phy, the run­nerup in the Edna Star­ritt 4BBB event and the best dressed on the day, in her striped socks and creative Christ­mas gear.

Sue Turn­bull was re­warded with a tro­phy for be­ing the most con­sis­tent player over the sea­son, while newer player Phyl Fid­des was awarded the Most Im­proved player, re­duc­ing her GA hand­i­cap from 35.9 to 27.5.

Jan Coe won the Putting com­pe­ti­tion with 121 putts.
