Landscape designer Catherine Shields has come a long way since training as a physicist in her native England. After she graduated as a landscape architect, her new profession and love of travel took her to Hong Kong, Hobart, Sydney, Perth and Darwin before she finally settled in Hobart in 2000 to start her own business, The Alchemy of Gardens.
