OOOh, it’s a bOt­tle Of hOme­brand cOla! Looks like it, I know. In fact, it’s sparkling black cof­fee. Wtf? YOu’ve lent the sO­das­tream tO he­stOn again, haven’t YOu. Nope. Strange Brew is the cre­ation of crack de­vel­op­ment team that “spent more than 12 months re­search­ing what peo­ple want from a cold bev­er­age”, ap­par­ently. (Hands up who reck­ons they were get­ting paid by the hour.) sOme­thing Wet and thirstquench­ing, per­haps? that tOOk me Well done. This cold-brewed fizzy cof­fee, with a lick of sweet­ness, is cer­tainly a pleas­ant pick-me-up on a sum­mer’s day. It’s quite weak, though. anY­thing else? Yes, it took out the “Best Cof­fee In­no­va­tion” gong at last month’s World Bev­er­age In­no­va­tion Awards in Nurem­berg, Ger­many. You should have seen the stand­ing ova­tion! It was just like the old days.
