Pick of the week theatre
Since Ali Died The title of Since Ali Died refers to writer and performer Omar Musa’s lifelong admiration of Muhammad Ali, a black hero who taught him as a young man that it was OK to be brown and to be Muslim. Musa’s exhilarating command of language, rhythm, rhyme and metaphor is impressive. He is a performer who does quite subversive material with seductive charm. SBW Stables Theatre, 10 Nimrod Street, Darlinghurst. Today, 2pm and 7pm. Tickets: $30-$45. Inquiries: 1300 856 876 or online. Until January 19.
