GOOD OIL

The Weekend Post - Cairns Eye - - Beauty -

We are supposed to drink litres of water a day, but who has the time? And what if you prefer a nice cup of tea? I’ve been cheating my body’s moisture levels with drinks that contain some water and facial oils, which seem to be doing the trick. I haven’t had a glass of water in about a year so something’s obviously working, and if you sleep in airconditioning, these silky facial oils are a must to keep your skin hydrated overnight. I apply mine before cleaning my teeth, or even earlier, so as to let it sink in before my head hits the pillow. Many organic oils sold in health food shops will do the trick as long as they aren’t fragrant or essential oils, but in general oils like coconut, almond, grapeseed, jojoba or argan can be oily on the skin, while specific facial oils are dryer, and absorbed much more quickly. So with the party season in full swing, whether you drink the required amount of water or not, boost your skin’s moisture content with one of these oils, and your skin will have a much better chance of sailing through the silly season.
