KIA’S funky Soul has joined the five-star bri­gade with news the style-leader is now a safety leader as well.

ANCAP (Aus­tralasian New Car As­sess­ment Pro­gram) awarded the Soul its high­est rat­ing af­ter up­grades to the model which saw the in­clu­sion of stan­dard elec­tronic sta­bil­ity con­trol across the range, seat­belt re­minders on all five seats and an an­chor-point pre­ten­sioner for the driver.


HYUNDAI Mo­tor Com­pany, saw its brand value quo­tient in­crease by 9.3 per cent year on year (Aug 09 to Aug 10) in the 2010 Best Global Brands sur­vey con­ducted by In­ter­brand.

In­ter­brand are the pub­lish­ers of the rank­ing of The Best Global Brands sur­vey, and con­ducts the study an­nu­ally which has in­cluded Hyundai for the past six con­sec­u­tive years.

Dur­ing this time the brand has seen a steady in­crease in brand value ris­ing from po­si­tion No.84 in 2004 to No.65 in 2010+ rep­re­sent­ing a growth rate of 9.3 per cent last year and sig­nif­i­cantly out­per­form­ing the in­dus­trys av­er­age growth rate of 2.8 per cent.
