Jaguar XF on a budget
ANEW, lower power version of the Jaguar XF 2.2 turbodiesel four-cylinder has just started rolling out the factory door in the UK.
Rated at 120kw, the newcomer will be priced lower than the existing 2.2-litre, targeting buyers on a tighter budget.
The 120kw model draws on the strengths of the existing XF 2.2, but sells in the UK for an enticing £29,950 on the road or the equivalent of $A44,000.
Don’t expect anywhere near this price if the 120kw XF does hit these shores.
Despite the lower starting price, the new model features an extensive range of standard equipment including suede-cloth and leather seats, a touch screen centrally mounted display, electronic climate control and an advanced eight-speed gearbox complete with automatic stop-start.
The XF 2.2D 120kw is capable of accelerating from a standstill to 100km/h in 9.8 seconds. On the combined cycle it achieves 5.4 litres/100km and it emits 149g/km of CO2.
