APPEAL TO BUYERS NOW

-

FIRST Home Buyers have just stepped up their property hunt and are hastening their buying decisions in light of the recent changes to grants for first-time home owners.

They have until October 11 to finalise the contract for their purchase of an existing home in order to receive their First Home Owner Grant of $7000.

After that time only first home owners buying property off the plan or newly constructed property will be eligible for any incentive.

Many first-home buyers are seeking established addresses that are more connected with employment nodes, social amenities and recreation facilities than new apartment precincts and estates, which can often have a significantly higher price.

Established houses and apartments have great appeal because they are generally well located with access to transport routes, shopping, sporting and other facilities, and offer good value for the buyer.

Well-located, ‘second-hand’ homes presenting good value are being snapped up.

In many cases, the older solid home or apartment is the affordable entry point into the property market that the first-home buyer needs.

With an urgency now existing to secure such a property and put $7000 in the pocket, well-presented, well-located “second-hand” homes presenting good value are being snapped up.

Property owners who may have been undecided about putting their homes on the market really should pick up on that same urgency and appeal to the fast-acting first-home buyers in the market today.
