ALTHOUGH it is home to some of the highest-priced beachfront properties in the northern beaches, Kewarra Beach is also known for providing a relaxed lifestyle at a relatively affordable price.

The suburb can be found about 20km north of the Cairns CBD and is located between tourist favourites Trinity Beach and Palm Cove.

This residential beach suburb has little development in the way of tourism and there is a high proportion of recent suburban development here with little diversity in housing.

“We all live here for the lifestyle. It is predominantly populated by young families. There are plenty of parks and playgrounds as well as the very usable beach with barbecues and play equipment for families. There is also a JapaneseEnglish Language School. Adjacent suburb Trinity Beach has a primary state school that offers Prep classes.

The nearest high school is at Smithfield and there is a Catholic primary school at Trinity Park.
