LISTED your house but anxious about it sitting on the market unsold?

There’s a lot of competition on the Cairns real estate market now but here are the suburbs which are selling the fastest.

According the July Market Trends Report released by CoreLogic, suburbs which fringe the Cairns CBD are the most sought after.

Stratford tops the lists for the lowest number of days on the market (between listing and contract date) at 42 days.

Edge Hill houses follow closely in second place at 45 days and Brinsmead at 49 days.

Westcourt houses also made the top five list at 51 days, followed by Freshwater with an average sale time of 52 days.

While Clifton Beach is one of the priciest suburbs in Cairns, it also takes longer to sell a house there (101 days).

Houses in Cairns North are also slow off the mark, turning over on average in 97 days, and Palm Cove at 92 days.

In this weekend’s Real Estate liftout, agent Ray Murphy reveals the top “turn offs” from a potential buyer’s point of view. Read more on page 4. We also delve into the pitfalls and benefits of renovating through following the journey of three Elite real estate agents who are turning to the tools to make a profit (on page 3).

SELLING FAST: Stratford is on top of the popularity stakes in Cairns. This mansion on Michael Dwyer Cl will set you back $1.25 million.
