PINNACLE OF OPULENCE

Live high on the hog at this blue chip address at Bayview Heights, which has epic views on one side and tropical rainforest on the other

THIS eye-catching property in a dress circle location at the top of Toogood Rd is nestled against a mountain backdrop and has sensational views from a multitude of vantage points with balconies and patios from almost every room.

The striking home with an angled V-shaped design has a generous layout over three levels.

Each bedroom has its own balcony and there are four bathrooms including an epic, ultramodern main bathroom in grey marble.

The signature cul-de-sac property, built entirely of concrete and steel, has a large pool with a cascading water feature.

Agent Vanessa Robinson of Belle Property said the home had generated much interest.

“Buyers are really responding to the generous size of the home and beautiful views, especially to the southeast, which is just a mass of tropical rainforest,” she said.

“It’s designed for the tropics, most especially to capture the southeast breezes with louvres, doors and windows everywhere, also up high, above ceiling height, allowing any heat to escape. There’s no afternoon or westerly sun.

“It is super private and peaceful, really a superb environment in which to live,” Ms Robinson said.

In the 2020-2021 financial year, 106 properties in Bayview Heights changed hands with some stellar prices achieved.

In February this year, a five bedroom home at 57 Falcon St sold for $1.4m and 5B Ellen Close sold for $952,500.

The median price at Bayview Heights has risen by 15.7 per cent over five years.

Properties offered for sale in the suburb don’t last long on the market – a median of just 29 days.

The median house price in March 2021 was $445,500, according to CoreLogic.

The home is on a 1082sq m block.
