Vibrant family environment for your child

-

OPERATING since 1992, Smithfield Childcare Centre provides a comprehensive vibrant environment for families with children aged from six weeks to school age.

The community-based notfor-profit childcare centre runs a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program and the Early Years Framework five days a week.

Director Todd Avery says Smithfield Childcare Centre provides professional, high quality care.

“We see the difference we make for the children and parents,” Todd says.

“We’re here because we are passionate about the early childhood sector.

“It’s important to me because we are teaching the future leaders and every child should have the right to quality early learning.”

Todd has worked in the early childhood sector for more than 15 years and at Smithfield Childcare Centre for 13 years.

“I put this down to it being the best childcare centre I’ve worked for. With all our staff there would be a combined total of over 200 years of service in early childhood. We have a great reputation and strive to provide the best quality care for families.”

He says it’s impossible to have a bad day when working with children. “They are the happiness we strive for.”

Smithfield Childcare Centre is also part of the Cairns and District Child Care Development Association, which has been established for more than 40 years and is committed to sponsoring and assisting community based child care services in the region.
