NNANNA Egwu says he doesn’t need to ask Santa for more minutes despite a season low against Illawarra and an average of just five minutes in his past four games.

The Taipans import has been warming the bench more and more thanks to quality output from veterans Al Loughton and Mark Worthington but said he was confident of the wisdom of Aaron Fearne as to his role in the side.

“I mean everyone’s really chipping in. It’s amazing how deep we are. Every player on this team can really do something so I think it’s a matter of when you get in, being the most efficient with what you get and doing what you can to help the team,” he said.

“The one thing we’ve got to do is not waste minutes. “Fearne’s a really smart coach and he’s always in communication with me and he has great rotation on the court and all I can do is reward him by going out there and doing things as hard as I can. “As a pro basketballer it’s your job to be ready to do whatever you need to do.

“At a minute’s notice you could be on the court to play 30 minutes or just be there for five minutes.”
