Q So how have you been keeping busy, other than, I assume, a fair bit of rehab?

A I’ve got a few projects at the moment that keep me busy. It’s not like football is the only thing I have going right at the moment. I think it’s always good, no matter what level you’re playing, to have that backup or education or something behind you, so that’s good. I work for a transcription company, so we do audio-to-text services for corporate clients. That’s going really well and there’s definitely a market for it.

Q I guess that’s a good fallback plan. Did you ever think your football career was over?

A I guess at the start that thought does cross your mind sometimes, especially after being so long not playing. Obviously I’ve been out for a while. It did cross my mind before but not so much anymore.
