PLAYING IT BY EAR
Q What are your plans for the future? Are you putting your hand up for some A-League clubs?
A I probably need some match practice to play a full 90-minute game but I’m feeling good at the moment, so I can’t complain too much. I haven’t thought about exactly where I’ll start that process and I will just take it day by day and see what happens.
Q Are you hopeful of getting a lifeline? Would you take an offer from any club? Where are you looking?
A That would be nice. But I’ve got to also see what A-League club would be the best fit for me. There would be no point going to a team like, for example, Melbourne Victory, where the midfield is really good and it would be really hard to break into that team, even if I wasn’t injured. I think in the next month or so I just need to see where the chips fall and how the A-League clubs are building their teams and things like that. I’ve just got to play that by ear and see what happens. Q Do you still think you’ve got what it takes to be a midfielder or do you need to be open to a switch?
A I’ve played there most of my career so maybe that would be a bit foreign, playing in another position. I see myself as a midfielder and if I had the opportunity to do that I would probably say yes.
