Business break-in

POLICE are reminding business owners to ensure that any cash on the premises is removed and banked overnight after a cash vending machine was broken into at Atherton. Sergeant Scott Hayes said between 3am and 7am yesterday, offenders smashed a side entry door and forced entry into the premises on the Kennedy Highway. Once inside they forced open a cash machine and obtained access to the internal workings of the machine. It is unknown at this stage if any money was stolen from the machine.
