MASTERPIECE AT THE BEACH

TALENTED sand sculptors and amateurs alike are invited to get some sand between their fingers and toes at Four Mile Beach at Port Douglas today for the sand sculpting competition where prizes from local traders are up for grabs. Registration for the event starts at 9.30am and sand artists have plenty of time to craft their masterpieces. Judging is from 2pm. The sand sculpting competition is part of Port Douglas Carnivale’s Family Beach Day event that also includes skydiving and kite displays, samba in the sand classes, face-painting for the kids and more.
