MAKING SOME CHANGES

A I’ve been good. I spent Christmas with the family. I switched jobs midJanuary. I stopped scaffolding and I’m doing something I’ve wanted to do my whole adult life now, working as a youth worker with kids in crisis. Some of the kids have behavioural issues but it’s rewarding. Sometimes it feels like I’m boxing when I’m working with the kids (laughs) but it’s great to be giving back.

Q Last time most people would have seen you was in the ring, definitively beating Filipino fighter Vergil Puton as part of the undercard for Jeff Horn’s bout with Gary Corcoran in Brisbane last December. How have you been since?
