Q Why do you think Choc (above) alienates people?

A From what I’ve seen, a lot of Aussies don’t like cocky people. The other thing is he is an Aboriginal athlete that is outspoken and stands up for issues.

He classifies himself as an Aboriginal that lives in Australia and people don’t like that. Then he’s an Aboriginal Muslim. He’s not the only one. Look at what’s happened to Adam Goodes. They booed him into retire- ment. He’s a Brownlow medallist and they booed him until he retired. Mundine’s got three things that people struggle with. He’s a confident Aboriginal Muslim. A lot of people have a mindset on how Australians should be. He’s not the only case. Some of the things he says I think are a bit outlandish. But is that Choc or is that the villain he tries to play? If he was quiet and didn’t speak out he wouldn’t have made half the money he has in his career.
