EMPOWER Golf Queensland is hosting a come and try golf clinic in Cairns for people living with a disability. The clinics are the ideal way to introduce new people to golf for the first time, or to reintroduce former players to the game they love, after disabled through accident or illness. Players of all abilities have the opportunity to try golf and use adaptive equipment such as the ParaGolfer, under the tuition of Cairns coach Graham Bolton. The ParaGolfer raises wheelchair users into a standing position to enable a more conventional golf swing. The clinic is also just an opportunity to relax and get to know the other players. The first session is on July 1, 4pm-6pm at Half Moon Bay Golf Club. Places are limited, so book as soon as possible.
