Clark set to rumble

Innisfail UFC star Jessica-Rose Clark (above) only met Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone a matter of days ago. But she’s glad that she did. Rather than be cooped up in her hotel room ahead of UFC Fight Night Singapore, Queenslander Clark braced for a rollercoaster ride with wild man Cerrone. Literally. INNISFAIL UFC star JessicaRose Clark only met Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone a matter of days ago. But she’s glad that she did. Rather than be cooped up in her hotel room ahead of UFC Fight Night Singapore, Queenslander Clark braced for a rollercoaster ride with wild man Cerrone. Literally.

Clark and “Cowboy” climbed on to the Battlestar Galactica rollercoaster on a thrillseeking visit to Universal Studios.

“I usually just sit in my room during fight week, so this has been a different experience,” Clark said.

Remarkably, Clark only met Cerrone hours after she touched down in Singapore following a 19-hour flight from her home in Las Vegas.

Tonight, flyweight Clark will enter the biggest bout of her career against America Jessica Eye.

On the card, headlined by Cerrone’s welterweight scrap against Leon Edwards, No.9 ranked Clark has a chance to get into the top five. But she is mindful that a victory over the No.10-ranked Eye won’t necessarily propel her into championship contention.

“There’s still a few girls who are winning, even though I’ve got the most wins in the division … and they’ll probably get the shot before me. That’s fine. I’ll just keep making more money while I’m on the way up.”
