Power won’t back off pace
WHEN Gladstone signed its first QBL import way back in August, the club knew what it was going to get.
Fast-track 10 months and Taylor Young, 27, has indeed delivered. In an up and down season for the Power, he has been a player to rely upon.
“I think that my success has been on the back of my teammates who have been picking me up,” a humble Young said.
“The coaches and captain
Matt Hancock always make sure that I am ready to play.”
Before Sunday’s loss to Cairns Marlins, Port City Power had four-straight wins after a 0-5 start to the season. They face the Marlins in Cairns tonight.
Young said in such an even competition the best teams are those that play like one.
“Any given night anyone can go off (win or lose) and I think everybody is starting to realise that now,” he said.
