TAKE a trip out to the beautiful blue tropical waters of the Far North and spend a day basking in the sun as you try to land that next big fish. Reef fishing is commonly called “Bottom Bouncing” where anglers use heavy 60-100lb handline techniques to target such prized eating fish as coral trout, red emperor, sweetlip and nannygai. Share charters generally run daily, depending on prevailing weather conditions, and depart Cairns (Marlin Marina) and Port Douglas (Marina Mirage) at about 7am and return at about 5pm.
