LEGENDS HELPED ME OUT

How hard is it without your old mates alongside you in Thurston, Cronk and Smith? It must be a different feeling when you look around the sheds these days.

AObviously, I wasn’t there last year but I played a lot of football with all those guys. People forget that I’m the youngest of that lot. I’ve admired what they’ve done over the years and how professional they are. I’m lucky in a way because I’ve been able to take bits and pieces from them over the years. Their leadership skills have helped me and formed who I am as a leader. I’ll have a chat with JT about it (Origin) in time. Going back to Game One I think we missed that experience and it showed a bit but in saying that we can’t make excuses, we’ve just got to get better.
