Q AIf you look back on the two decades, who is your favourite Taipan ever?

There is a bunch of favourites: Nate Jawai, Alex Loughton, Gary Boodnikoff, Aaron Trahair and Anthony Stewart, among others. But, the player that bleeds Taipan blood is Aaron Grabau (right). He was playing for Mackay and I went down and met with him in Melbourne in the off-season. He played for the Marlins and was loyal, hardworking, hard-nosed and you could not ask for a better player on your team, on and off the court. He met a local girl and is married now with great kids. He will be my favourite. Of the imports, two stand out: Darnell Mee and Chris Burgess.
