Play hard but no fouls: coach

BE PHYSICAL without getting into foul trouble.

That is the expectation and message from new coach Mike Kelly to his playing group for their Round 1 NBL clash with Queensland rivals Brisbane in the Sunshine Stoush tonight.

“We want to be physical without fouling and we will hopefully continue to do that,” Kelly said.

“We have not done a great job of being physical without fouling, it has been one or the other at times. When we have done both, we have looked very good on defence. “That is what we will try to do.” Rookie import Devon Hall reiterated the mantra yesterday afternoon, as the Far North club boarded their plane for Brisbane.

“I think we need to be physical without fouling,” Hall said. “They play fast.”
