DO YOUR BIT TO TIDY UP THE TABLELANDS

GRAB a bag and a pair of gloves and do your part to help clean up the Tablelands. The Great Northern Clean Up – Tablelands is on October 20-21. There has never been a better time to stop and have a look around you to find those rubbish hot spots that need attention. Everyone is welcome and there are plenty of local areas that demand attention, such as your local park, waterway, bus area, workplace, school, bushland, lake or street. You can join a site or register your own. Currently, there are sites registered for the Great Northern Cleanup for Atherton and Herberton, meaning there are a number of towns left to benefit from a community tidy up.

WHAT GEAR: Wear sunscreen, a hat, gloves and closed-in shoes. Clean-up bags will be provided, but it won’t hurt to bring along some of your own.
