PLANT TREES FOR THE REEF

MULGRAVE Landcare needs your help getting 5600 trees planted around the Mulgrave River catchment by the end of December. The goal of the project, which is part of Greening Australia’s Reef Aid program, is to link up the surroundin­g creek corridors in the lower catchment from the Wet Tropics World Heritage area to the Figtree Lagoons site, the river, and the Reef. Join Mulgrave Landcare tomorrow from 3-6pm, south of Fishery Falls just past the McDonnell Creek State School.

WHAT GEAR: Sun-smart gear, covered shoes, gloves, water and a towel. Refreshmen­ts will be supplied.
